3 Key Things To Think About When Rebranding

When it comes time to rebrand your company as a whole, there are a number of things that you should definitely take into consideration if you want to do it right and reduce the amount of time it takes to complete.  It starts by getting crystal clear on a few things.

1. Think about  who else is playing in the area of expertise, have a scan of what they are doing and where they are doing it.  Don’t focus on competing, focus on setting your self apart on your own level.  The key thing is to get clear on what you are aiming towards, know where you want to be and why you want to be there.  For example, my daughter is a great standing long jumper, when she went to city finals we wanted to know what the record was so she knew what she had to surpass.

2. Ensure you look at all aspects of your branding, both off an online.  It all needs to be consistent; from your business cards to your website, to your header on all of your social media platforms etc. The important thing is to be consisitent so your brand becomes recognizable.

3. Get clear on the verbal and non verbal messages you are sending on all of your platforms, especially social media platforms.  Ask yourself the following; if I am going to use y personal FB page for business, then maybe I should stop posting my vacation  shots in my bikini (unless you are selling bikinis), it might be a better idea to start an FB business page.  The key here is appropriation and consistency once again.
